Even before we know, the festival of lights is upon us. Kandils, lights and other
Diwali decorations have begun to find its way into people’s homes. Bollywood celebrities like every year, have begun celebrating the festival with pomp and show. Party planners are on an overdrive, setting up themes, menus and invitations, among other things for an array of bashes underway in the next few days. Stylists, make-up artists and hair-dressers are working round the clock to make every celebrity who attends or hosts a bash look as bright as a sparkler.
Shah Rukh Khan, who turned a year older yesterday, is expected to host a celebration at his Bandra bungalow, Mannat, today. Ekta Kapoor is planning an intimate get-together at her Juhu residence. Ditto
Shilpa Shetty Kundra. The actress is known for hosting extravagant parties every year at her bungalow in Juhu, and this year, buzz is that her bash is casino-themed. Apart from that, there will be a couple of other star-studded bashes thrown by some from the glam brigade.
Sonam K Ahuja, currently in London with husband Anand Ahuja, is expected to host her first Diwali get-together after marriage in the British capital. Her family, including dad
Anil Kapoor, mother Sunita and brother Harshvardhan, are likely to join her there.
Back home in Mumbai, designer duo Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla will throw a party at their Juhu address. The guest list, we hear, includes a bevy of stars like Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, Sara Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, all of who are known to be close to the duo. Sanjay Dutt is planning to host an intimate gathering at his Bandra home for his close buddies.
The Bachchans are not likely to host their friends and family this year, since they are mourning the demise of Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s father-in-law.
